The value of menstrual blood storage

Stem cells are cells that are found in the multi-cellular organism which are characterized by having the ability to get differentiated into different kinds of specialized cells. These cells also have the ability to renew themselves by the phenomenon called mitotic cell division. These cells can be obtained from two key sources like embryos which are formed during the phase of embryological development which is called as embryonic stem cells. The other main sources from where stem cells can be obtained are adult tissues which are also called adult stem cells. Both types of the stem cells can further be characterized according to their potency and their potential to differentiate into other cells type.

The stem cells can be sealed from umbilical cord blood but this task can be performed only at the time of the birth of child. The collection of the stem cells from adult tissues or embryonic can be difficult as compared to collecting these cells from menstrual blood. Donate menstrual blood which will help in curing different kinds of diseases. The collection of the stem cell from the menstrual blood is neither an unethical process nor it causes pain or any other harm to the women while donating blood.

In addition, the stem cells collected from the menstrual blood are more advantageous as compared to the cells collected from the other sources. The menstrual blood storage is very convenient and it does not deal with any kind of issues. The tools that are required for the storage of the menstrual blood are affordable and easily available. Most of the blood banks offer good opportunities to collect and preserve menstrual blood from where the stem cells can be harvested. The stem cells found in the menstrual fluid have unique characteristics which are quite similar to both embryonic and bone marrow stem cells. So, these types of the stem cells can be allowed to use in future in the different kinds of regenerative medical therapies.

These stem cells are the origin of human life. At the time of embryonic stage, single stem cell is multiplied into millions of stem cells by the process of differentiation. During the process of differentiation these stem cells began to renovate into the other types of cells in the body like muscles stem cell, heart stem cell, nerve stem cell, bone stem cell and others. This process of differentiation continues until a baby is born. After birth the body continues to multiply these stem cells that serve as an important source repair and regeneration throughout lifetime. These stem cells can also be used in the treatment of the breast cancer as these stem cells have the property of regeneration of the breast tissues after the removal of tumor and mastectomy.
